
This project consists in a home and office of a pianist who lives alone. It was developed to be built in a lot of 15×150 foots with neighbors in all sides.
What I did was to use the whole width, create a prisma on the middle, along the vertical circulation and intercalate the floors, so the ventilation and lightning can be guaranteed over the whole construction. The back part is used as the atelier and a office. They have an independent entrance. On the front, you find on the lower level the living room and the kitchen. Above it, there are the bedroom and one bathroom.
This is a pavilion to be used in every kind of weather and should be easy to fix, so it can be taken everywhere and hold nomad exhibitions.
It has three different skins: the first one is a regular layer of glass, the second one is a blackout and the third one is kind of structural glass called “u-glass”, so the transparency can be worked according the purpose of the exhibition.
The goal of this project was to redesign the gymnasium, keeping it’s original shape but using unusual materials in its surface.
The main goal was to obtain visual continuity and constantly ventilation.
This is a maritime terminal designed to link the neighborhoods inside Rio de Janeiro by water. Besides the port and all its related activities, it’s also a cultural area, which presents theaters, stores, restaurants and a gallery, among other activities. It cuts the beach but at the same time it allows total connectivity between all sides, including the bike path.
